- Weapons: Simple, Martial + katana, naginata, and wakizashi/ Armor: All armor and shields (except tower)
- Class: Challenge (-2 AC except challenged foe; +1dmg/level +Order Powers)
- Mount- Animal Companion; no armor check penalty on Ride checks- gain new mount after 1 week if 1st mount dies
- Resolve:1/day at 1st level; + once every 2 levels beyond 1st; When Samurai defeats challenged foe, regain 1 use of Resolve-Effects (choose one)
- Determined: (Standard) remove shaken, fatigued, or sickened condition; if permanent it relieves it for 1 hour
- Resolute: Fortitude or Will saves- roll twice and take best result (decide before you roll the save)
- Unstoppable: Reduced to 0 HP- spend 1 Resolve to stabilize and remain conscious; staggered, but does NOT fall unconscious if you take a Standard Action; additional damage causes this effect to end
- Order of the Warrior: swear duty to ruler; honor; duty, loyalty, and obedience above all else to both lord and family; Edict: protect lands and life of lord; remain truthful, respectful of elders and master with honor and dignity
- DR 1 vs attacks made by challenged foe; Skill: Knowledge (history & nobility) Make Nobility checks untrained (+1/2 samurai level to roll)
- Ronin: "Wave Man" (one who is socially adrift) Elect 1 of the Cavalier Orders; Either a disgraced Samurai or lordless Samurai because of death or fall of his lord or loss of privilege. Edict: Personal and fluid- each Ronin determines 3 edicts that will guide his path. Some Ronin become mercenaries or caravan guards while others fall short of their origional vows and become bandits, thugs, or wandering vagrants.
- When targeted by a challenge, a smite, a quarry or like effect and a challenge is returned; receive a +1 to attacks; +1 to AC; Skills: Knowledge (Local) and Survival.
